The steady depletion of raw materials has again led to price increases in 2012

According to financial experts, the prices for industrial raw materials look set to continue rising in 2012. The reasons for this lie in the steady depletion of the raw materials. To counter this trend, the federal government has set up the "Resource Efficiency Network" which aims to raise awareness for the environment in industrial operations and to promote the development of environmentally-compatible products, although no specific laws have been passed to date.

 

Coal production in Wilhelmshaven, Germany

Every day in a slaking process, around 24,000 tonnes of coal is transported along a 3.6 kilometre long conveyors to the power plant in the North Sea city of Wilhelmshaven. Rhenus Midgard GmbH & Co. KG will be supplying coal to further power plants which is why this volume is currently being increased to 8 million tonnes a year.

Colombia Minera, 7th International Mining Show in Medellin, Colombia, 31 August – 02 September 2011

This year, Schulte Strathaus Company will exhibit at Colombia Minera for the first time. Together with our Colombian partner SOCMIN, we will show our innovative and problem-solving products from the area of conveyor technology at the joint stand of the Federal Republic of Germany.

 

AFTES Congress, Lyon, 17 – 19 October 2011

Together with CFT Company and Bochumer Eisenhütte Company, Schulte Strathaus will participate this year in the Congress of the French Tunnelling and Underground Space Association in Lyon
